Hello, HOPE-lovers and welcome to Thankful Thursday!
Thanksgiving may have passed, but I believe that each day provides a new opportunity to grow in gratitude.
Currently, we are being assaulted with materialism and the insatiable desire for more everywhere we look.
So join me as we continue our encounter with thankfulness through the Psalms to discover and develop the practice of being thankful.
I wholeheartedly believe that if you take this pursuit seriously, your life WILL CHANGE.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
…Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord…I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation…You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you…Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
Jerusalem—built as a city that is bound firmly together, to which the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever…Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word…All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name; the upright shall dwell in your presence.
Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.
All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you!
Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre!
“No matter the depth of discouragement or discontent, God will always give me a way of escape called gratitude.” ~ Steven Furtick
